CPAC Update from 05/20/2020
We hope everyone is safe and well. Thank you again for your patience, but we are still in a Holding Pattern for getting back in the water. We are working on scenarios to serve you and the public this summer. Swim teams will probably be in the mornings to segment populations. Schedule will likely start with our US Masters (year-round adults), USA Swimming (year-round kids), and then the Tidal Waves Swim Team (summer kids). Basically, we will adjust hours and rules to serve as many as safely as possible.
In the meantime, we are evaluating pragmatic operational safety guidelines from multiple sources including the CDC and the State of Georgia, while awaiting our scheduled annual inspection by the Fulton County Health Department within the week, as well as decisions from the Mayor’s office in the City of Atlanta. The government has key guidelines on activity sizes and social distancing.
Also, we have continued to make incremental progress at our facility during the break. How about HVAC in the bathrooms, as well as having more improvements on the drawing board.
As of this time, we do not have an update from the Atlanta Adult Summer League, but they are hopeful of having a limited swim team season.
On the kids front, Coach Carter and team are in the planning stages for our summer SIX-time Champions, Tidal Waves Swim Team. If you have children planning on or thinking about swimming with the Tidal Waves, please click this LINK and take the short SURVEY by Friday, May 22nd . We are in the midst of this survey to help us respond to the ASA Summer League and determine feasibility.
Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate these uncharted waters.
Yours in service,
