The Chastain Park Athletic Club (CPAC) is proud to be in the middle of our 9th season of managing the Chastain Park Pool, which was built in 1940. Off-season maintenance and upgrades are ongoing. We opened the weekend of May 15th and plan to be open through at least September 12th.

Last summer was highlighted by grounds improvements and our most visitors ever from youth camps, swim lessons, stroke clinics, neighborhood gatherings and our 2009 Champion Tidal Waves Swim Team. Moreover, we are focused on ways to fund and phase in the future Chastain Aquatic Center pictured below. Please join our CPAC e-mail list, so that we may keep you informed of our progress.

On July 4th, 2002, the Chastain Park Pool re-opened after we saved it from demolition and it became the home of the The Chastain Park Athletic Club, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization. We were successful in forming a public/private partnership with the City of Atlanta allowing us to maintain, improve and operate the facility, while furthering our mission of promoting aquatics, sports, and safety through outreach, while revitalizing the Chastain Park Pool. In 2003, we created the Chastain Park Tidal Waves Swim Team. More importantly, our community pool is clean, refreshing, and available to the public.
